i-cool Reviews (2018 UPDATE): Should You Consider Buying It?

What Is i-cool?

i-cool is a menopause supplement. It promises relief from the most common symptoms of menopause—hot flashes and night sweats.

Using a patented process, this formula mimics the hormone estrogen. Low levels of estrogen are mainly responsible for the discomforts a woman experiences during menopause.

The manufacturer of this product claims that it is allergen-free and hormone-free. It supposedly supports your heart health and promotes healthy hair, skin, and nails as well.

In addition, the supplement is easy to swallow because the pills are made of gel capsules. Also, you won’t experience a fishy aftertaste even if it contains fish oil.

Who Makes i-cool?

i-cool is a product of i-Health, Inc., a subsidiary of DSM Nutritional Products. Their main office is at 55 Sebethe Drive Suite 102, Cromwell, Connecticut 06416 USA.

You can call them toll-free at 1-800-722-3476, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time. You may also send an email to CS@i-HealthInc.com.

Best i-cool Alternative?

Due to all the negative reviews about i-cool, we’ve been looking for a competitive product that was proven more effective. We checked several of them with deception, and finally came around a real effective menopause supplement. You can read its review HERE.

Who Is i-cool For?

i-cool is for adult women who are suffering from the symptoms and effects of menopause. It is a good alternative to estrogen patches and progesterone injections.

There are certain women who cannot take estrogen supplements due to health conditions or allergies to black cohosh. If you are one of these women, then this product is for you.

In addition, if you have sensitivities to yeast, wheat, gluten, and lactose, you can use this supplement as it doesn’t contain any of those substances.

However, it is not for you if you are vegan or vegetarian. You also cannot use it if you’re allergic to tree nuts or fatty fish like anchovy, sardine, and mackerel.

Consult your doctor before taking this supplement if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to get pregnant. Do this as well if you have a medical condition or are taking any medication.

How Does i-cool Work?

At the onset of menopause, your body undergoes hormonal changes. In particular, estrogen production reduces as you age.

Estrogen affects the part of your brain controlling your body temperature. When you have low levels of this hormone, your body feels hot. As a result, your heart pumps faster, your blood vessels dilate, and your sweat glands work overtime to cool your body.

The effect of this process is more intense heat, which happens rapidly. Thus, the condition is called “hot flash.”

On the other hand, night sweats are hot flashes you experience as you sleep.

i-cool provides a way to manage these conditions without the use of synthetic estrogen. It contains geniVida® genistein, an ingredient that helps reduce the frequency and severity of these problems.

In addition, the other ingredients in this product support a woman’s health issues in her menopausal years. Omega-3 fatty acids support cardiovascular function for a healthy heart. Biotin and vitamin E promote healthy hair, skin, nails and immune system.

i-cool Ingredients

i-cool contains these active ingredients:

Vitamin E (as Dl-alpha Tocopherol Acetate) – This is a synthetic form of vitamin E with a high resistance to oxidation. Thus, it can extend the shelf life of supplements.

Biotin – More commonly known as vitamin B7, this nutrient is essential in keeping your skin and hair healthy.

geniVida® Genistein – One of the isoflavones found in soy is genistein. In i-cool, it is in synthetic form. With the same chemical structure as the one in soy, it is almost identical to the natural version.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids – These are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Studies show that they can lower inflammation and treat depression. They may also protect against memory loss conditions due to aging, such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Fish Oil (mixed natural tocopherols and sunflower oil) – Rich in EPA and DHA, this helps prevent heart disease by lowering levels of triglyceride, or blood fat. It can alleviate symptoms of depression as well.

i-cool Side Effects

According to the manufacturer of this supplement, they have not received any reports of side effects from taking it. Also, clinical studies on geniVida® prove that it is safe at the recommended dosage.

However, research on omega-3 fatty acids show that their natural sources, such as fish and nuts, are usually high in calories. So taking i-cool on a daily basis may not be a good idea for people with health conditions requiring them to lose weight.

Also, omega-3 can increase the risk of bleeding in individuals with such conditions. These acids also interact with medications that increase bleeding.

In addition, fish oil commonly causes indigestion and gas. It may also make your urine, breath and gas smell fishy.

i-cool Dosage

Take 1 gel cap of i-cool daily, in the morning or in the evening. Do not exceed this dosage unless recommended by your doctor.

Results vary from woman to woman. Some see improvements in a week or two. However, it can take up to two months for the best results to happen.

This supplement works through a cumulative effect. Thus, you can get the maximum positive effects if you take it every day.

i-cool Reviews

The i-cool reviews we found online were a mix of positive and negative feedback from women who tried the product.

Those who were satisfied with it felt initial relief in less than a week. After continued use, they noticed that their hot flashes became less severe and less frequent. Their night sweats stopped as well.

Some women found it a good alternative to over-the-counter hormone treatment. They also observed increased bone strength.

Others experienced different results. While their hot flashes were completely gone, their night sweats remained. For some, this supplement did nothing to alleviate these symptoms, but their nails became healthier.

On the opposite side, disappointed users didn’t find any relief from their hot flashes, night sweats, sleeplessness, or mood swings. They tried the product for two months and even doubled the dosage, but it still did not work.

Also, there were complaints that it works well only during the cold months and only for mild menopause symptoms. When the weather became warmer and their conditions got worse, the supplement didn’t work anymore.

The reported side effects were constipation and weight gain.

One buyer mentioned that she stopped using it upon discovering that it can lessen the effectiveness of certain cancer treatments.

Finally, many reviewers complained that this supplement is expensive.

Where To Buy i-cool

i-cool is available in the vitamin or menopause supplement sections of drugstores and pharmacies. It is also for sale in Walmart and several branches of Sam’s Club.

If you prefer to buy this product online, you can find it in Amazon, Walgreens, and several other online retail stores.

Does i-cool Really Work Or Is It A Scam?

For women going through menopause, i-cool spells relief not only for discomforts but also as a healthier option to drugs and injections.

As a supplement, it means convenience as well because you can buy it without a prescription. It’s even available online.

We can safely say that this product is worth a try although it’s not for everyone. Some of its ingredients may cause allergic reactions.

Also, while many of the i-cool users reported positive results, many others experienced the opposite.

If you happen to be vegan, vegetarian or sensitive to fish and nuts, we recommend that you look for another menopause supplement.
